The La Rochelle Aquarium, in the heart of the town, is one of the largest private aquariums in Europe. The visit, which lasts over two hours, takes you to the heart of the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and tropical oceans, an amazing world of unusual lifeforms and vibrant colour in 3 million litres of seawater. There are 12,000 marine animals ranging from fragile jellyfish to fascinating sharks.
In July and August late night opening which is magical.
